Dreaming Gowns: Emmy's Red Carpet Dresses

Roll out the red carpet as the Television Academy salutes prime time television performers at the 66th Emmy awards on Monday, August 25, 2014. Even if you didn't grab one of the coveted spots to enjoy the red carpet parade of stars or purchase a ticket to the award ceremony, we can definitely play dress the nominees, right?

Kerry Washington won the Emmy for best actress in a dramatic role in 2013. How about a red dress for the red carpet?

She would look fabulous accepting another award in this lace mermaid gown from Alyce. The sheer gown is covered in appliqu lace motifs and accented with tiny beads. What a sparkling way to take the stage!

Michelle Dockery is no stranger to the Emmys, having been nominated three times for her role in Downton Abbey. I think she'd look totally smashing in this silver beaded gown from Sherri Hill. What a perfect way to highlight her hourglass figure than with radiating rows of beads that surge from the low V back, and ricochet from the rhinestones that edge the V neck.

Everyone's proclaimed Christina Hendricks a winner for her Hollywood style. Hoping to pick up an award for the show Mad Men, she would look stunning in this Sherri Hill open back lace dress.

The delicate aqua would be fabulous with her coloring and the mixture of beads, lace and sheer fabric would float down the red carpet.

It's the first Emmy nomination for Kate Mara. Her role in House of Cards is just one in a television career that began when she was just a teenager. This Sherri Hill two piece gown captures her youth and energy but is full of drama. The long layered skirt has not only a thigh baring slit but a short train which would be perfect for the red carpet photography.

Best of luck to all of these Emmy nominees! I wish you fabulous looks and a successful night under the LA stars.
