Fabulous Flirt Formal Dresses for Prom 2014!

Flirt Prom is the design child of Maggie Sottero, the international designer so respected in the wedding industry. Like her wedding dresses, Flirt prom dresses are known for their interesting details and fabulous fit from size 0 to 28. Unlike the wedding dresses, Flirt plays with the full color spectrum. Take a peek at these Flirt formal dresses.

Pleats are used horizontally and vertically in this long strapless dress by Flirt. Horizontally, you'll see them in the strapless sweetheart neckline and vertically in the floor length full skirt. Dividing the pleats is a beaded lace motif that wraps diagonally to create a diamond shape cut out at the lower back. This is a flattering dress for many body types.

Capturing the asymmetrical trend, Flirt's one shoulder prom dress uses sheer panels and beads to highlight lame fabric. Oh so body conscious, a short train adds extra drama. This formal dress reminds me of a lightning bolt! Choosing between violet, teal and fuchsia keeps the energy high. Jaws will definitely hang when you show up in this beautiful gown at prom!

Lace with bling could describe Flirt's strapless lace up long gown. An allover lace pattern begins at the sweetheart neckline contrasting with off-white or nude fabric (See * below). In typical Flirt fashion, no detail is left behind. Beads accent the center of flowers in the lace pattern. With a riff on the corset dress trend, the lace up back closure parallels the lace appliqus that swing down the dress body.

Just as I said that Maggie Sottero uses the Flirt Prom Gown collection to play with color, let me point out that white plays a key role this season. Take this strapless lame dress: brilliant, great detail insouciant (how's that for French vocabulary? In case you're studying another language, that's carefree).Well placed gathers, a long front slit and a short train make an elegant impact. Flirt plays with the lace up back in this beautiful prom dress as well.

* My latest grouch? Fabric color classified "nude." For Pete's sake, not all of us are off white when nude. I can only figure that choosing "nude" as a color name is blatant sexualization of product, or myopic world view. Neither is realistic in the long run. I hope this trend withers quickly.
